What we keep, and why
This page says what AI Electrician Tutor keeps about you, what it is used for, and which other companies handle it for us.
What we keep
Your email address, and your password as a one-way scramble that nobody can read back, us included.
Your study records: the answers you give, your sessions, scores and streak, and the cards you missed, so the app can pick what to practise next.
Your reminder settings (the hour and your time zone) and, if you turn on phone notifications, the address your browser gives us to deliver them.
Your pass: which kind, when it starts and ends, the amount, and the payment reference Stripe gives us.
If you add them under Your details on your account page: a display name and your exam date. Both are optional.
If you sign in with Google
If you choose Continue with Google, Google sends us your email address and your name. We keep only your email address and your first name. We do not keep your Google photo or the rest of your name, and we never see your Google password.
Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to signing in with Google.
What we do not keep
Your card number or bank details. Stripe takes the payment and holds those; we never see them.
There is no advertising on the site and no outside analytics service. Your sign-in is kept in your own browser’s storage.
How we count visits
We count visits to the site ourselves, with no cookies and no outside analytics service. For each page viewed we keep the page, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer, told apart partly by whether the screen is a touchscreen), the browser, the screen size, the language your browser asks for, and a rough location read at the moment of the visit: the country, the state and the city at most.
We never keep your internet (IP) address. To tell one visit from another on the same day, it is mixed with a random value that changes every day, and only the scrambled result is kept. It cannot be turned back into the address, and it cannot be matched from one day to the next.
If your browser asks not to be tracked (Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track), your visits are still counted, but never told apart from anyone else’s.
Automated visitors (programs that call themselves bots, crawlers or headless browsers, and requests that send no browser language at all) are counted separately and never as visitors. For them we keep the same page, device and rough location, and nothing that tells one from another.
When you are signed in, the app pages you use are counted against your account, so we can see how studying goes across the app. The public pages never are.
The raw visit records are deleted after 90 days. After that only daily totals are kept. The Meta pixel described below is separate from this counting.
What it is used for
Running your study; sending the emails that come with an account (the sign-in email, your reminders, and a few short notes about your first days); taking payments; and answering you when you write to us.
We do not sell or rent your data, and nothing from your account is used for advertising.
Who else handles it
Supabase hosts our database and sign-in, and stores everything listed above.
Netlify hosts the site and runs our server code; its logs see your IP address and browser, as any web host’s do.
Stripe takes payments, holds card details, and emails your receipt.
Resend sends our emails: it sees your address and the message.
Your browser’s push service (Apple’s, Google’s or Mozilla’s, depending on your browser) carries phone notifications, if you turn them on.
Meta: the Meta pixel on our public pages (see below) tells Meta that a browser looked at one of them.
Anthropic: where the AI inspector is switched on for an account, the questions typed to it are sent to Anthropic’s Claude service to be answered.
A mentor linked to your account, only at your request, sees how your study is going: time, streak and results.
The Meta pixel on our public pages
Our home page, our About page and the page that describes the pass use a Meta pixel, so that people who visited can be shown our ad again on Facebook or Instagram. It records that the page was viewed, along with the cookie Meta keeps in your browser.
Pages you see once signed in carry none of it, and Meta never receives your email address, your answers or anything else from your account.
To opt out, change your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, or turn on your browser’s tracking protection or block third-party cookies.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Write to support@aielectriciantutor.com and we delete the account and your study records. Stripe keeps its own payment records for as long as the law requires.
Your choices
Pause or change reminders under Dashboard → Reminders, and turn notifications off in your browser at any time.
Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for it to be corrected or deleted, at support@aielectriciantutor.com.
Children
The site is not meant for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly keep data about a child under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page gets a new date.
